The part of my brain that’s panicking about not being able to smell things and my tastebuds being all out of whack has been told to sit down and shut up by the more curious and inquisitive parts of my brain, because this is an interesting situation I may never find myself in again, so it should be explored. So I’m going to continue to nibble my way through all our food. There seems to be a pattern forming in the way my ability to taste things is skewed.
I would like to say it’s nice not being able to smell the litter box when I’m scooping it, and it’s wonderful that the chocolate fudge chunk ice cream in my freezer tastes perfectly fine.
