Today's tale of woe concerns the washing machine. I started a load of laundry, promptly forgot about it, checked it an hour later, and the pump was making pump noises but the water was not leaving the machine. I figure either the exit hose had frozen water in it or the ground drain did. There’s just no room to get a heat source back there, and no one in this house is capable of moving the fridge (you know I tried anyway).

Well, in a fit of rage, I grabbed the bit of the exit hose I could reach and gave it a good yank. This pulled it apart from the ground drain, so I somehow shoved that back together. Turned on the washing machine, there was a horrific noise, and the. It worked just fine.

My new super power appears to be beating machines into submission. First the fridge, and now the washing machine. 🤪
