Amazon Prime Video has made me angry. I subscribe to Paramount Plus through Amazon, owing to there not having been a PS5 app for it until very recently, and it was nice having all those viewing options in one place. But today, I was watching a few episodes of a show, and Amazon was sticking an obnoxious amount of ads into each episode. So I downloaded the actual Paramount app, and guess what? No ads, because I pay the higher price for no ads. So why am I seeing ads in my Paramount shows when I watch through Amazon?
Obviously, I will cancel my sub at Amazon and start paying Paramount directly, but I’d also like to know why they do that, and if Paramount is aware. It shouldn’t matter where I subscribe to the thing, if I’m paying for no ads, I expect no ads.
