We have returned from our turkey hunting expedition at the grocery store. After forty five minutes of being sent all over the store by various employees and not finding the thing we were looking for, we decided to buy wine and pie and call it a day.
As we approached the checkout lanes, Lin saw the frontline manager and got him involved. He went above and beyond, and we came home with wine, pie, and the box of pre-cooked Thanksgiving foodstuffs we went to the store to buy. Also, he gave us $10 off the thing! Unexpected, but most welcome!
And don’t even ask me how many people I saw wearing masks at the store. The answer will only depress you.
