The husband just told me we only owe a new small car's worth of money on our mortgage! So close to having it paid off an entire decade early. This is the only good thing that came out of the pandemic for us. Since there were no dinners out, no happy hours or coffees with friends, no parties to go to, no new clothing needed, no gasoline being put in the car every couple days, just us sitting in our house being depressed, anxious, and not spending money, we paid extra every month. Best decision ever.
