I had thought this dentist I’m seeing might be adequate for my first local dentist. I love my actual dentist, but he’s a hundred miles away, semi-retired, and it’s a bother. It’d be nice to find someone here in Austin that I didn’t hate. And while she does seem competent, and I like how she didn’t present me with a ten page plan for $20k worth of future work and just focused on the matter at hand (and the office staff seemed sweet), I have already had my fill of the paternalistic infantilizing attitude so many businesses have towards people they believe are in the lower economic strata.
