I need help getting together the materials I need for one of my art projects. What I need are the keys off of old broken keyboards or computers! I’ve been scrounging old keyboards for a couple of years, but I still don’t have enough keys, and I really want to get this piece done this year. I’m tired of waiting, and I don’t have the budget to buy working keyboards to tear apart … not to mention, doing so would go against my prohibition against breaking things that work and someone could still use.

So, do you have an old keyboard gathering dust in a garage, closet, or storage shed that you’ve been meaning to get rid of but just haven’t gotten around to tossing yet? Great! You can help me make some art! All you have to do is pop those keys off, put them in a mailer and send them my way!
