I like to have one night off a week from cooking, which is why we usually have delivery pizza. A few weeks ago though, a new place started delivering in our area, and they deliver more than just pizza. They offer all sorts of sandwiches, salads, and pastas in addition to the usual pizza. We've been trying various things off the menu every week, and while I would describe their pizza as merely OK (tends to be way, way, way too greasy for my tastes), their pasta is quite good. So last night, when I couldn't decide if I felt like cooking or not, I asked the husband's opinion on ordering pizza. He suggested pasta instead, and so that's what we had.
The best thing about their pasta dishes is that the single order –supposedly a meal for one person– is more than enough for two. Their single sized salads are also more than enough for two. So for about fifteen dollars, we've got a tasty meal I don't have to cook, that isn't pizza, and that no one has to go pick up. It's a pretty sweet deal. Last night, I made a salad instead of ordering one, because I have fresh veggies and felt like puttering in the kitchen, so I ordered some mozzarella sticks, which we didn't really need, because there was plenty of food without them.
Anyway, thought I would show you what an order of Sarpino's lasagna looks like when cut in half and plated. With the addition of another side dish, I think it could even be split four ways and still be enough food. LOL!
