Just a few things to say this morning…
The Good:
Last night, The B’s (our sweet neighbors) gave us a bottle of rosemary infused olive oil. Coolness! I think I’ll be baking some crusty, grainy rolls for dinner soon for some oily dipping goodness. I love our not-so-new-anymore neighbors.
The Bad:
The cats have been stark raving mad all morning. No really … just insane. They are so lucky I love them, or we’d be having cat stew for dinner and nice furry hats this winter.†
The Mediocre:
Also last night, one of The Latinos (house on the other side of us) talked to Lin and the subject of the Damn Dog came up. I cracked the front door to listen, and I was not entirely thrilled with how Lin handled it. But at least the guy apologized, even though Lin wasn’t explanatory enough about exactly WHY his wife gets angry when the dog gets in our yard (i.e. clawing at and ripping my kitchen window screen and destroying things in my garden – and generally being an unpredictable large dog).††
The Other:
Several posts are sitting in draft status right now, but I’m going to go work on art instead of finishing them, because I am tired of being angry. I want to feel gleeful, happy, and content again … so working on my art project it is.
Also, it seems the problem with my cellphone alarm (and Lin’s – we have identical phones) is somehow related to the auto-update date and time feature on the T-Mobile network. I’ll be testing this theory for a while yet, but that does seem to be the source of our problems.
Footnotes- † JOKING! I would never harm any animals, but when all three of them are going nuts, destroying things and attacking each other, fantasies do pop into my mind. [↩]
- †† We’ve determined that Lin is Obama, and I am Rahm Emmanuel. He’s all nice and diplomatic and trying to find common ground, and I’m all flipping the bird, scowling, and cursing. Though I do lack the missing middle finger like Rahm. LOL! [↩]
