Free to Be Bigots

Rep. Devin Nunes (R-Calif.) came to the defense of the racists and bigots who shouted slurs at members of Congress Saturday. The Tea Party protesters shouted the ā€˜n’ word at African American members of Congress the ā€˜f’ word at an openly gay member.

Rather than condemn the anachronistic behavior, Nunes blamed the Democrats, saying that they make people do and say crazy things with their tyrannical behavior.

Yes, Rep. Nunes, they have every right to use the words “nigger” and “faggot” as much as they like, and I have every right to point at these people and call them bigots and remnants of a time that should be long past. In fact, I encourage anyone who would like to call people niggers and faggots to do so, because it lets me know who the assholes are.

And on a side note, I do wish people and the media would stop saying “n-word” and “f-word” when describing what people are saying. “Nigger” and “faggot” are words –ugly words, to be sure– and attempting to soften them by not using the words when quoting people who ARE using those words or discussing people using those words is ridiculous. It’s not like we don’t know that “n-word” means “nigger” and “f-word” means “faggot”. Act like adults and use the words. The more people hear them, the more people will realize just how ugly they really are.

And I guess “kike” is the “k-word” and “spic” is the “s-word”? See how stupid it would be if we did this with all bad words? Additionally, I always thought the “f-word” was “f*ck” … and I’m pretty sure I am not wrong about that. So now we have two “f-words”, isn’t that great? Not.
