Unexpected Evening

Going to a Broadway show was not, in any way shape or form, on my agenda for the day. I took a nap, had just started the dishes, was about to start making bread, and then the opportunity to go see Phantom of the Opera fell into my lap. I have only been wanting to see it forever, so it’s not like I could say no.

A full reporting on the evening will be forthcoming, but my main concerns at the moment are Lin getting back from Sonic with something to eat and getting to bed. I do, after all, have to get up before the sun tomorrow and get on the road to Mom’s, plus there’s that whole dentist appointment thing tomorrow afternoon.

All I will say right now is that it was an AWESOME show, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Also, the magically appearing candles during the subterranean scenes? The traveling show brings along its own stage that raises the original stage by 10″, allowing the rising candles and other magic to happen. We were all discussing how they did that, because I’ve personally been on the stage at the Bass a number of times, and I knew candles rising from nowhere is NOT possible on that stage.

Like I said, more when I have the time. Maybe tomorrow night if I come home tomorrow, or Friday if I don’t. I do have to tell you about it though, because the show was fabulous!
