And another fine weekend comes to an end.
Yesterday we were lazy slugs. Slept late and then watch Olympics until our eyes bled. It was a good day.
Today, we went to lunch with D. & M. from San Antonio and had a blast. I was forced to endure the public humiliation of having waitstaff sing Happy Birthday to me, which while totally mortifying was sweet … as was the tasty ice cream they presented me with. Then came home and were completely lazy slugs again.
Of course, tomorrow is Monday and the Olympics are over, so I suppose all this laziness will come to an end and life will return to normal. Boo and hiss. It’s going to be a busy week again too. Double boo and hiss. But, I received a totally unexpected birthday present in the form of a Michael’s gift card, so I would imagine that at some point this week, I will be slipping away to the craft store to do some totally guilt-free craft supply shopping. Wheeeee!
And now to finish the laundry and make dinner. Then we’ll watch the Olympics closing ceremony we are recording, and the last two weeks of nonstop sports, birthday celebrating, and couch potato behavior will come to an end.
