Mom had a wisdom tooth removed this morning. The removing went well, but now she’s having problems with it continuing to bleed. I think she may be panicking a bit, because anything bleeding on one’s mouth always seems like a WHOLE lot of blood due to the saliva situation, but both the dentist and I are checking on her. I think if she’d stop talking on the phone and sit quietly with the gauze pad on the bleeding bit, it would stop, but she keeps calling people. Well, hopefully that all works out by this evening.
Wednesday I have my dentist appointment. I’m getting a little freaked out about it, because I don’t know what his plan is for this one. I have a couple of tiny fillings to replace, one huge filling to replace, and a wisdom tooth that needs to come out. I don’t really want to have a wisdom tooth removed this week, but whatever he wants to do, I guess. I totally trust this guy, which feels odd to say since generally I hate dentists. But yeah, he can do what he wants. I’ll muddle through the aftermath. It won’t be so bad, no matter what.
In other news, it’s cold and gray and damp, and this sucks. Not as much as the 80% chance of heavy rain the day I have to drive 80 miles to get to my dentist appointment and then 80 miles home, but still … it sucks.
I think I’ll send my mom a few more text messages now to keep her mind busy with something other than thinking about her now non-existent tooth. I think I’ll send her some cat pictures. Cat pictures cheer everyone up, right?
