Winter-Like

Yes, a cold front did blow through. It’s not freezing or anything, at least not here in Austin, but it’s certainly feeling winter-like this morning.

Brrrr!

Almost everything that was on the agenda yesterday is still on the agenda for today. I’m not even going to tell you about yesterday. I’m putting the entire day out of my mind. The only thing on my list to do that got done was transplanting those tomato plants into pots and getting them into the laundry room overnight. It was just that kind of day, which is just the kind of day I seem to have every Monday.

Oh, and an update on the fire ant situation! I haven’t gotten to the two mounds in the far back yard yet, but of the many, many huge mounds in the garden area, there are only two that still seem to have some ants, though not in normal fire ant numbers. The mounds may be dying or lacking their queen. When it gets as warm as it plans to for the day, I may run a few pots of boiling water out there to take care of those two. Some day soon, I am going to have to haul large pots of boiling water all the way to the far back yard, but not today. I’m not quite that motivated to be outside today hiking from one end of the yard to the other. I do seem to be winning the war though. Yippee!

Time for coffee to get my motivation levels up, and then I suppose I should get moving on my list of things to do. Going to be hard to stay motivated though with this chilly weather. I don’t really feel like leaving the house, but alas, the groceries will not come to me. I must go to them. Doesn’t that just suck?
