Shooting at Fort Hood

At least seven people are dead and 12 20 wounded (just updated on the news – possibly 30 injured) in a shooting at Fort Hood in Texas, the base’s public affairs office told NBC News on Thursday.

The official would not give his name nor additional details. It was unknown whether victims are soldiers or civilians. One gunman was reportedly in custody and another was on the loose, NBC News said.

I think I better go turn on the local news. Actually, I can probably turn on any news station, because this is going to be huge news nationally.

I know people over there, so I will admit to you right now, I am more than a little freaked out.

UPDATE: Third gunman … shooting now at Fort Hood. WTF?!

  1. I am freaked out as well. Lived there for 3 years and still have friends there. Trying to get into contact with one of them but no joy so far….

    The local news here isn’t reporting a damn thing and its pissing me off.

  2. Yeah, can’t reach anyone I know either. Ugh.

    And the local news is just going along saying nothing. WTF News 8? Like any of us care about the weather right now?
