Governor Rick Perry has the endorsement of Sarah Palin in his race for reelection. Today I hear that Kay Bailey Hutchinson has acquired the endorsement of none other than Dick Cheney. The race is on for the governor’s seat in Texas, and it’s going to be fascinating to watch. I can’t wait!
I’d love to say something about anyone else running for governor, but I’d have to do research to find out who else is running. Names and activities of any Democrats or third party candidates haven’t been making the news. I’m sure there are other people running, but as far as just about everyone in Texas is concerned, it’s going to be a race between Perry and Hutchinson. No one else is making any sort of impact on the public yet, which is sad.
I despise Perry, and just about anyone other than him would be fine by me, though I am not especially thrilled with Hutchinson either, especially in light of her Dick Cheney stamp of approval. Yuck.
Maybe later I’ll do some searching to find out who the other candidates are (or might be) for Texas governor. What I really need to be researching sometime though is the constitutional amendments we are voting on Tuesday. If none of them seem like anything wildly important, I will likely do what I always do when the opportunity to bloat our ridiculous state constitution is brought to a public vote. I’ll just vote “no” on all of them … and they’ll all pass anyway.
I originally thought Hutchinson was a better judge of character. I guess not.
She had my vote to lose. She lost it. Cheney? Really? Gonna brag about Cheney liking her. Eeek.
