“I hope I didn’t catch the flu from Chris.”
That is exactly the sort of thing I do not want to hear from my husband on the third morning of both of us having awful headaches and being extremely fatigued. I do not want to hear that someone we know and who Lin has contact with has any kind of flu. I do not want flu in my life, not swine flu or any other kind of flu.
Other than the horrible headache, feeling oh-so-very tired no matter how much I sleep, the coughing and sneezing, I don’t especially feel like I have the flu, but it can sneak up on a person. I’m pretty sure though the problem is just my usual allergies, though that doesn’t explain Lin having headaches too. I swear he never gets headaches, so it’s a little unusual.
I think I’ll go take some vitamins, have a glass of orange juice and knit a bit more of that shawl. At some point today, I am going to have to work up the energy to go to the grocery store. We’re out of milk, low on butter, and apparently I forgot to get black olives for tonight’s pizza. I hate to go to the store for just those three things, but while we can live withe being low on butter and not having olives on the pizza, not having milk doesn’t work for me or Lin. Maybe I’ll look around the house and see what else I could add to the list to make the trip seem worth it. Or maybe I’ll just go to Walgreens to get the milk and forget the rest of it until next week’s usual shopping trip. That would certainly be quicker and easier, and the way my head feels today, quick and easy is where I am at.
Meanwhile, I am going to keep my fingers crossed that Chris doesn’t have flu or that if he does, it hasn’t come home with Lin. No flu, please!
There is the seasonal flu, the Swine flu, and then we have the H1N1 flu. I got my flu shot the first of September, which is a month earlier than usual, if I don’t get a flu shot I always come down with the flu. Not sure if this is true or not, but I thought the Swine flu was the H1N1 flu, now I am being told that it is a different flu virus, and that shot, H1N1, won’t be made available until mid to late October. Lets hope we can all last that long.
Oh BTW, sounds like you got the flu.
