It rained all night. It’s still raining. It could stop raining right now. Really, it could. We’ve had enough for the moment.

The yard is a mud pit. The garden is soggy and my seedlings are getting leggy due to lack of sunlight. Everything is damp and wet and yuck. Mold spores are through the roof, and my allergies are flaring up. My mood is turning foul. My little spot of life on earth needs some sunlight!

Still enjoying the coolness of the air, but I’ve had enough of the rain.

Not going to the market today, because I don’t feel like slogging around in the rain. I should bake bread today, but it’s not a really good day for baking bread. Mostly that’s a mood thing, but I have noted that my bread does better on a nice sunny and warm day. Maybe I’ll feel like it later, but I doubt it.

Last night the lamp in our projection TV started showing signs that it’s on its last legs. I’d already suspected as much, because it had been taking a moment for it get to get full brightness for a little while now. Last evening, we had to turn the TV off and on a few times before the lamp kicked in. I supposed we’ll be going to Best Buy to wrangle with them for a new bulb. We bought the four year service contract, which provides bulbs, knowing we’d have to get at least one in four years. There better not be any argument at Best Buy either. I’m still peeved at them over the whole mess we went through when they overcharged us when we bought the TV. I haven’t been in a Best Buy since then. I do stick by my boycotts. Alas, they hold the key to the TV being fully functional, so to Best Buy we must go.

Nothing much else going on around Casa de Orb today. Just another damp and gray day guaranteed to lead to much laziness and lounging around. I imagine I’ll be getting some more reading, knitting, and napping done today.
