Zenni on the Ball

I just got off the phone with Zenni Optical. That’s who I ordered glasses for my mom from. They’d sent me an email a couple days ago, but Mail decided it was spam (ugh), so I didn’t see it until I was scanning over the spam folder, which I don’t do every day. Shortly after I had emailed them back, they called, because they really, really wanted to know that the spherical measurements had been entered correctly. Apparently they are making Mom’s glasses today.

Very nice people on the phone, and I’m impressed they went to that much trouble to verify the prescription information was correct. It was, but yes, Mom’s prescription does look a little odd right now, since one of her eyes has been fixed and one hasn’t yet. I can’t say the place she got her last glasses would have done anything more than just make the glasses as told and not questioned anything, so kudos to Zenni for being on the ball.

Which reminds me, I still need to get my eyes checked. Dammit. Meant to do that when I went to see Mom this week, and I’m certain it’s too late to get an appointment now. She’s a very busy eye doctor … ’cause she’s just that good.

And now, I really do need to get to the cookie baking. I was just about to start on that when I had to stop to deal with emails and phone calls and whatnot. I have an hour before the sun starts blasting directly into the kitchen, and I’d really like to have the baking done before that happens. Too damn hot in there to do any baking when that big Texas sun is making the whole room feel like an oven.
