Last night I watched The Reaping. Yes, not the kind of movie I would normally choose to watch if given a choice, but it came on after a movie I did want to watch, and well … it sucked me in. It’s not often a horror movie sucks me in. In fact, it’s so rare, that’s why I am sitting here talking about it.

The acting was good. The story was surprisingly good. The effects were good. Even the cinematography was good. Also, it wasn’t horribly violent and gross. All in all, it was a good movie, which surprised me. I’d sort of expected it to be totally stupid.

I wouldn’t suggest everyone will like it, but if you aren’t much into the horror-thriller genre, you might like this one. Just maybe don’t watch it super late at night before going to bed. It’s not overly horrifying, but it does get the adrenalin pumping a little bit!

I recorded it when it played again last night, in case Lin might want to watch it. I don’t know that he will, but I might want to watch it again myself. Now that is saying something. I can’t think of any other horror-thriller movies with biblical plagues (or not) that I have watched more than once. :lol:
