Dinner is being something of a production tonight. On the menu is oven-fried breaded zucchini with garlic, roasted new potatoes with basil (from my own garden – all of it), and personal pan-fried meatloaves. The veggies are in the oven, and the ground beef is mixed up and chilling in the fridge, so I have a few minutes to sit down before the action begins again. I’ve been at the prep work on this meal for an hour and a half. That’s quite a lot of prepping!
The kitchen will be a total wreck when I am done, because it always is when I go crazy making some elaborate meal. I’d say I’ll do the dishes later tonight and clean up the kitchen, but we’d all know I was lying. The dishes will be lucky to get done in the morning. :D
Damn, the oven timer already went off. That was quick! Back to slaving in the heat of the kitchen.
Someone better make appreciative noises about dinner tonight, if someone knows what’s good for them. You know what I mean?
