Finally a few minutes to sit at the computer. My mother does keep me busy when I am here.

Everything seems to have gone well with her cataract surgery today. The doctor seemed really positive about the outcome, and Mom is feeling fine. No problems so far. Tomorrow morning, we go for her follow-up appointment, and she gets the eye patch off. Good thing, because she’s been griping about it all day! I’m sure it’s annoying. I wouldn’t like having something taped to my face either.

Other than spending hours at the hospital this morning, we really didn’t do much today. We ate Church’s Fried Chicken for lunch, and then Mom fell asleep in the living room … so I took a nap too. Then we watched TV all evening. Very exciting stuff. :lol:

I’m still hoping to be able to get home sometime on Thursday. I hear my husband and the cats miss me. I miss them too! Not long now. I’m just keeping a mental attitude that everything is going to go according to the best possible scenario, which means I get to head home sometime Thursday afternoon. I should be thoroughly homesick by then.

We have to get up super early in the morning for that 8 am appointment, so I better get to bed and get some sleep. I just wanted to make a post that contained more than 140 characters and wasn’t posted from my cell phone!
