Did you hear that Prejean was finally released from her Miss California contract? Told you so. Also told you it would have nothing to do with her political views and everything to do with her consistently not living up to her contract obligations. The only reason Trump gave her a second chance was because he didn’t want it to look like it was due to her stance on gay marriage, which it would have had he fired her when that was all in the news.
But Donald is a businessman, and he seems the sort to like people to stick to contracts. She hasn’t, at all, and she’s been a total bitch about it too. She’s missed 30 appearances, made at least as many unsanctioned appearances, didn’t inform the pageant about naked photos she’d done in the past, and on May 29th, she popped off with this in an email to pageant officials:
“You do not cooperate with me, and you pick and chose [sic] the the [sic] things YOU want me to do. That is not happening anymore. Stop speaking for me. I have MY own voice.”
Well, Miss Prejean, telling someone what they can and should do and what they can’t and shouldn’t do is essentially at the heart of all contracts. Yes, poor dear thing, when you signed the contract to become Miss California, you agreed to make the appearances they wanted you to make and not make the ones they didn’t approve of you making. If I were Trump and the other pageant officials, I would have fired her long before she missed 30 appearances. Does anyone else working under a contract get to miss 30 days of work, then write an email like that griping about being told what to do … and get away with it? No. Beauty queens are no exception in the world of contracts. Either the contract is followed or it is broken, and if broken, someone gets let go. Period.
Welcome to the real world, Miss Prejean, where people are expected to follow through on contractual obligations they have willingly taken on! I guess now we’ll be hearing from her for the next year or so griping about how she was oppressed for her political views, as opposed to being quickly forgotten as just some beauty queen incapable of meeting contractual obligations.
UPDATE: I just ran across an email exchange between Prejean and a pageant official. It is so worth reading. Oh … my … god. I am definitely amazed she wasn’t relieved of her Miss California crown sooner. What an idiot (and a bossy little thing too)!
I’d be surprised if the porno producers haven’t already contacted her.
She better come up with something to do quickly, because her moment in the sunshine is about to be up. As soon as the news media gets bored with her or something new comes along, she’ll be forgotten by everyone but the anti-gay marriage people she’s been appearing before (and even they may eventually tire of her). She’s pretty much dumb as a post and an absolute prima donna with no concept of contracts and obligations.
For all her outrage about Playboy offering her money to pose only as semi-naked as she has already shown she is willing to pose, I imagine she’ll be in Playboy soon … and then, yeah, probably porn. I can’t see her being able to hold down a normal job, at least not until she learns how to show up for work and do what her boss tells her to do. And maybe gets some more education.
