Sorry if I don’t see the comparison. John Brown wanted to free the slaves, and his hope was to be able to do so with the least amount of violence and death possible. Hal Turner wants to kill Jews, judges, politicians, Hispanics, health care providers, African-Americans, and anyone who disagrees with his warped view that the white man is being oppressed … and all he does is promote violence and killing.

And I didn’t discover Hal Turner was crazy from a newspaper. I heard he’d been arrested, didn’t know who he was, went to his web site, and read his own words. His words speak for themselves. Hal Turner is a psychopath. Nobody has to make him out to be crazy. He simply is crazy.

John Brown was made out to be a crazy too in the popular papers at the time of his hanging.

And people always forget the First Amendment says you can say what you want, but it doesn’t say you have any right to be protected from the consequences of doing so.

This Hal Turner guy though, HOLY COW! I am still flabbergasted about the stuff on his web site, and I only read the first page with the most recent posts. Who knows what insanity lurks further in. Threatening to put down cops, judges, and attorneys?! How does that not lead to getting arrested?! I hope there aren’t too many more like him out there. That guy is scary.
