Everything on the dinner plate tonight was sourced from within 100 miles of our house. In fact, aside from the ground beef and the bell pepper in the meatloaf, the onions, green beans, and squash are 100% from right in my back yard!
Yup, the first squash were ready to eat, and so we did. They were quite tasty fried up in butter with a little onion. Mmmmm.
yummy! Nice green beans! :thumb:
The first time I made the green beans, I boiled them … and boiled and boiled and boiled, and they never got tender. Not hard, but not the way I expect green beans to be. This time I steamed them. Perfection!
And today I’m going to steam and freeze about three meals worth of them. Mmmm.
