Before:

After:

The lounge chair was my grandfather’s. Mom was going to toss it because it’s rusty and a little broken. I’m ignoring the rust for now, and I used baling wire to fix the problem it had. Eventually, I’ll refurbish the chair a bit and paint it.
The fabric was given to me so long ago I can’t even remember when and by whom.
The batting used for padding was left over from a quilting project about 15 years ago. I bought extra, because it was on sale. Never made another quilt, so it sat unused.
The wagon was my mothers when she was a kid, and once again Mom was going to toss it, because it was rusty and the wheels aren’t so great anymore. I saved it from its junkyard doom, because I knew one day I’d find a use for it. I am totally ignoring the rust on this forever. It looks awesome the way it is.
The bricks were salvaged from Lin’s work place after they had the fire there.
The round glass piece on top of the bricks is the turntable top from my now-gone microwave.
The dirt was some of the last dregs of my bagged soil.
The plants were some I’d started but hadn’t found a place to plant yet.
Total cost? $0! Happiness level? Off the scale!!! :bounce:
