No Blowdryers in the Jungle

I imagine you may have heard that Illinois’ ex-governor, none other than the now-infamous Rod Blagojevich, will possibly be appearing in a reality TV show. It involves dropping a bunch of famous people in the middle of a jungle in Costa Rica, and I imagine they will be forced to do horrible things.

I feel certain it will be the sort of TV show I would never in a million years watch, but I will probably watch it. Not that I care one bit about Blaggo or even want to hear or see anything more about him, but I am interested in the jungles of Costa Rica and Costa Rica in general. I’ve been thinking of buying a farm in Costa Rica.

Personally, I think Blaggo will fall apart almost immediately in a jungle in Costa Rica. I just can’t picture him and his perfect hair, in a jungle. Not to point my finger at him as some kind of wimp specifically. I think 90% of Americans would fall apart almost immediately, if they found themselves in a jungle in Costa Rica. I’m not even sure I wouldn’t, and I really want to go there and live in a jungle. Well, a farm in a jungle, but still … lots of nearby jungle all around with giant jungle bugs and other assorted predators.††

Is Blaggo going to be a manly-man or scream like a little baby when he is confronted with what will likely be a well-planned out horrible-on-purpose jungle experience? I vote for a screaming baby about the whole thing, especially the lack of hair care tools.

Actually, I am not so certain the judge is going to relax Blaggo’s travel restrictions enough to let him go to Costa Rica. I certainly wouldn’t. His butt wouldn’t be going anywhere outside the US borders until his trial was over. I’m not even sure I’d let him out of the state of Illinois.

Footnotes
  1. Well, not in the “buying a farm” right this minute sort of way. No, I’m thinking of buying a farm in that “get away from life” at some point in the future sort of way. But really, farms in Costa Rica aren’t that expensive. It’s completely doable, if someone wanted to do it. []
  2. †† OMG, jungle bugs!!! Why do I want to buy a farm in Costa Rica?! Oh yeah, perfect weather for growing things, beautiful scenery, low cost of living, and huge functioning farms cheaper than they can be had in the USA. []
