Usually, I am complaining that whatever rain is passing through Texas always splits and goes to the south and north of us with very little falling at our house. Today, during a storm that did include hail ranging in size from pea to softball size, I am finding myself thankful for whatever work of nature causes storms to break slightly as they pass over my neighborhood. We got rain, though not especially hard and with almost no wind. We did not get any hail, but people just to the north and south (and east) did. So … phew. My garden is safe, for now.
I’m going to get dinner started, set my alarm, and take a little nap. Hopefully, there won’t be any more big storms passing through today. If they do, I’d be pleased if they did what all storms seem to do and didn’t hit us directly.
While I am happy for the rain, I’ve had enough now. Some sunlight would be nice tomorrow. :)
Huh, the sun is coming out right now! Thank you, universe!
