Done … Almost

The peanuts and parsley are planted! Yeah! All the planting is done, for about a week or two. I still need to get the beans into the Three Sisters mounds, once the corn has gotten a little taller. I’m also waiting for the okra to get a little height, then I can plant the lemon cucumbers. Almost have everything filled!
Since I had some extra soaked peanuts and parsley seeds, I planted them in the two empty Earthboxes. They’ll be back-ups for the stuff that got planted in the ground. I can always transplant anything that comes up elsewhere or into other pots.
Now all I have to do is the housework I haven’t gotten to for most of the week while I’ve been running around town and working in the garden. Then I can declare my weekend started … right after I put some compost on the corn and water it in a little.
It never ends. I make a list of garden tasks, and when everything is checked off, there’s always one more thing to do. Always. I suspect my entire summer is going to be an endless list of garden tasks.
