Hiss! Spit!

We are totally back as square one of cat acceptance for Tora. Ronin is right back to hissing, spitting, and growling … whether she is anywhere near him or not. He’s all in a tither about Tora. He’s in such a state, he’s even hissing at me! I think someone may find themselves banished to the bedroom for a while, and it isn’t going to be Tora.

Myu is hissing, but as last time, seems to be the first one getting over it. In fact, I think she’s realized the bedroom is now open and has settled in to her usual napping spot, so she likely won’t care at all what is going on in the rest of the house from now on. She gets testy when she can’t hide in the bedroom closet and snooze.

Ronin is being a big huge butthead! If he’s not careful, not only will it lead to bedroom banishment, it will lead to two adult cats getting baths so everyone smells like they don’t belong here. I am not putting up with weeks of him walking around being cranky and hissing again like when Tora first came to live with us, and he sure seems to be working himself up into that same attitude.

Oh, and now Myu is back stalking Tora and hissing. Ugh. All Tora wants are some head licks and cuddles! Get a grip cats!

I read somewhere that a cat’s scent changes after they get fixed. Not sure how quickly that takes effect, but…

Or Ronin could be just reacting to that nasty vet smell.

Tora definitely had a hospital smell to her when she got home. Even I could smell it. And the other two react mean to each other when they go in (individually) for shots, but only for an hour or two. I think Ronin just always looks for any reason at all to be cranky.
