Planting Day

The second set of bush beans, the bush cucumbers, and the corn for the Three Sisters mounds have been planted today. The okra seeds are soaking and will go into the ground tomorrow afternoon, along with the second planting of dill. In two weeks (maybe three, depending on the okra’s rate of growth), the lemon cucumbers will be planted and bed one will be fully planted!

Also, some of the original tomato seedlings are getting a new set of leaves, and the first planting of bush beans sprouted today!

So far, everything is going according to plan, as best as it can when growing things are involved.

I’m moving the seed starting tray outside. It’s plenty warm enough, and if it looks like it will get below 50ยบ at night, I’ll just put the cover on them. Some of them have started sprouting, and I’d rather they take their chances with bugs and whatnot outside than get leggy like the last ones. They might as well get used to being outside right away. That’s where they will be living, after all.

I am not having a gardening panic attack today. Everything’s going pretty good!
