Noisy Cat & Needy Cat

Tora has been nothing but a walking voice-box all day. Squeaks, mews, adorable “bbbrrrt” sounds. Yes, she’s been following me around all day singing to me. I believe she is trying to be as cute and precious as she possible can be as an apology for shredding the end of my nose this morning. She didn’t mean to do it, and as soon as it happened, she knew something awful has just occurred … mostly because of my scream of pain. When I went to get some sleep this morning, we were playing on the bed –she always loves a few minutes of playtime on the bed before a nap. She got overly excited, jumped two feet straight up, came down on my face, and one of her very pointy little claws caught the end of my nose … and sliced a nice long gash in it. I didn’t punish her at all, since really it wasn’t like she attacked me, but I do know one small kitten who is getting her claws trimmed and filed tomorrow.

Then there is Myu who has been following me around all day being a needy cat. Oh, I love the attention. It’s great that one of the cats finally wants to sit in a human’s lap, but really, there is a limit to how much cat cuddling can happen in one day. And … she is very, very insistent about it too. Right now she’s sitting on the corner of my desk glaring at me, because I dared to request she move while I used the computer for a minute.

And Ronin? Who knows what he’s been up to today. He made an appearance at lunch demanding food, and then he was off sleeping somewhere for the rest of the day. I expect he’ll make another appearance in about an hour demanding dinner, and then he’ll be back to wherever it is he’s been snoozing. He’s only 2.5 years old, but I swear he acts like a grumpy old cat sometimes. Well, at least he isn’t terrorizing the other two or getting into trouble, right?

I better pay attention to the two cats who are hovering nearby and begging for some ear scratches. Then I need to run to Sonic for dinner and get Lin awake and moving. He’s got to work tonight. That doesn’t happen often, but it sure does suck when it does.
