I Knew It!

I knew it. My mom’s TW digital phone problem sorted itself out overnight with no one having to do anything. It rang when I called it, and she answered.

Of course, my mom didn’t sit in the living room last night like I told her to and leave it alone. She crawled around under her desk anyway, and now her back is really messed up. She took a Celebrex, which makes her hyper, and so I’ll probably be hearing from a bored and hyper mother all day today. Well, maybe I can convince her to go see the doctor about her back. When you have health insurance, use it!

I have also told her to tell her crappy neighbor and so-called friend that I have commanded that Mom sit until I say so, and if she doesn’t sit and get better, not only will she not be able to do things for her††, she will be moving to a senior community over here and therefore will never be able to do anything for her again. If my mom can’t take care of her own needs, the only solution to that is living much closer to us, and that isn’t going to involve Lin and I moving anywhere. So, unless she wants to move this year, she better sit when I say to sit and take it easy.

But anyway, all my mother’s phone situations have been sorted out … all on their own, as I predicted. Not that she would have called me to tell me so. Always quick to call to panic, never quick to call to say all’s well. Ugh.

I think I’m going to go start some bread.

Footnotes
  1. OMG … my mother on Celebrex is a nightmare. My mother on Celebrex and unable to get out of her easy chair is a double nightmare. All she wants to do is talk, talk, talk on the phone. []
  2. †† My mom does way too much for her friend/neighbor and gets nothing but crappy treatment in return. The old bat needs to learn that my mom is not her slave and she also isn’t a spring chicken just because she’s younger than the old bat. []
