Mears said he enjoyed shooting the film in Central Texas although he didn’t spend much time soaking up the scenery. “It’s funny because we shot it here in Texas, but I believe in the movie. It actually takes place in the traditional New Jersey,” he said.

Yes, because Austin and Central Texas look just like New Jersey! Good grief. All the same, when it eventually makes its way to a SciFi Channel horror flick marathon or some other late-night cable TV channel, I’ll probably record it and watch it in fast forward to look for places I recognize. Or not. I really don’t like the genre. The characters are all so stupid. “Hey, there are people being murdered in horrible ways! You go wander around in the woods alone over there, and I’ll go sit in the run-down cabin over here! What could go wrong?!” Ugh.
