So, Orb … while your hubby was outside busting his butt uprooting trees and turning mountains of leaves into mulch, what did you do today?
I’m so glad you asked! I did just about nothing at all! OK, that’s not entirely true. I did sit at the computer and start planning what plants and seeds I need for the garden and what’s going to go where. That lead to reading a bunch of gardening blogs and gardening articles. Shortly before sunset, all the reading about gardening inspired me to go out on the front porch and chop off some of my mostly dead tomato plants, which took all of ten minutes. So, yeah, pretty much didn’t do anything at all today.
Can’t help it. I wanted to do some things today. I had intended to go to the craft store for some supplies, and I had wanted to start getting my pots and planters ready for planting by dumping out the dirt and refreshing it with some new compost and such, but … my allergies are totally and completely kicking my butt today. If I drug myself, I am drugged and get nothing at all done, including reading or thinking. If I don’t drug myself, I am miserable and get nothing done, aside from reading and thinking. I opted for the drug-free choice today. Tomorrow, I may choose the drugged option. I was pretty damn miserable all day today.
But at least I got a lot of reading and planning done, and one of my seed catalogs came in the mail today, so tonight I’ll be curled up on the couch, chomping down on pizza, and settling on exactly which varieties of veggies I want to go for in my new expanded garden (which hasn’t been built yet).
