I started a rant, but it’s getting long due to me having to explain things in detail, and it’s a convoluted mess to explain anyway. Anytime I am ranting about elected officials and ignorant voters, that tends to be the case. Add in paper ballots and electronic voting machines, as well as terms such as “deselected” and “emphasis voting” … well, convoluted mess is putting it mildly.

In order for me to potentially get to the ranting at a later date without having to explain all the details, I present you with this morning’s homework: two news stories that somewhat explain the situation that has arisen involving voting in Texas.

For the record, I don’t see a situation at all. I see people squabbling about something that doesn’t really need to be squabbled about due to the facts being blazingly obvious. But, like I said … elected officials and ignorant voters equals a convoluted mess.
