Finally, a small point of bright and happy light in my life. All we have to do is fax the receipt for the repair parts we bought to stop the water leaking issue, and the utility company is going to cut the charges back to our usual 2,000 gallons a month rate … down from the 30,000 gallons that went who-knows-where (you’d think that much water going into the ground would leave a puddle, but it didn’t).

They didn’t even argue about it. I didn’t see how they could argue, because it’s pretty damn obvious by looking at the information they have on our account at their own web site we have only used 2,000 gallons a month, and rarely a drop more, for the last five years. All the same, color me surprised it wasn’t more of a hassle.

So … one stress down, a few more to go.
