More Cynthia Dunbar

Cynthia Dunbar, Texas State Board of Education member, has been a hot topic in my Google searching the last week or so. “Know thy enemy” is one of my personal mottoes. Today, let me share with you yet more of her thoughts, published online at The Church Report.

I am not at all surprised that the liberal media is blatantly biased in their support for Obama. What shocks me is that there could be even one Obama supporter among the ranks of truly committed Christians in America. How can we be so blinded as to not see that the World View to which Obama adheres is diametrically opposed to the Biblical World View held by the founders of our great nation?
–Cynthia Dunbar

If our founders had such a Biblical world view for our country, it seems to me they would have enshrined said view into the founding documents and truly created the Christian nation so many modern Christians seem to believe they live in. But they didn’t, now did they? In fact, it seems they preferred a separation of church and state, allowing both to be free from each other — keeping religious world views from domineering the population through the government and keeping the government from domineering religious world views by following one religion’s ideals over another. How very insightful of them.

In support of its endorsement the New York Times stated about Obama that “He has drawn in legions of new voters with powerful messages of hope and possibility and calls for shared sacrifice and social responsibility….” Does this language not disturb us as Americans? If it doesn’t it is simply because we don’t understand the role of civil government from a Biblical World View as our Founders did. “Shared sacrifice and social responsibility” smack of Marxist Communism and redistribution of wealth.
–Cynthia Dunbar

It might disturb us as Americans if we were all Christian and all attended the same denomination of church which Ms. Dunbar attends. Alas, we aren’t and don’t, and the government belongs to all of us. There are many things that smack of Marxist Communism, but “shared sacrifice and social responsibility” isn’t one of them. Many times in the past, the citizens of our great country have been asked to sacrifice for the greater good in times of national crisis, and many times in the past those citizens have stepped up to the plate and batted a home run. They didn’t sit around screaming about it being the end of America as they knew it or whining about the government not following their particular flavor of religious world view. They just did what needed to be done, and everyone was better off for it.

…let me put this to you plainly, anyone who adheres to a Marxist World View does not and cannot uphold a Biblical World View. The Biblical, and consequently Constitutional, World View knows that the realm of authority over poverty and wealth does not fall to the civil government. Biblically, that area belongs within the realm of Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction or the corporate Body of Christ.

Well then, let the Christians step up to the plate and do something about poverty and injustice! Let them become a force to be reckoned with as they reach out their hands to help those less fortunate. Certainly, many churches, religious organizations, and Christian individuals do many charitable and wonderful things for the downtrodden, but many, many more of them don’t … or only want to help their own and not the general rabble of the unwashed masses.

Clearly, the threat that Obama poses to America as “One Nation under God” is simply too great for me to not speak out and sound the alarm.

Clearly, the threat that Cynthia Dunbar poses to the education of Texas children is simply too great for me to not speak out and sound the alarm. I am becoming ever more devoted to the task of removing Cynthia Dunbar and her ilk from the State Board of Education. The people deciding what the students of Texas are learning — as well as how they are learning it — need to be both educated and rational. She seems to be neither.

Once again, because things like this tend to disappear from the internet (the last one I posted about certainly did), I will be saving the entirety of the screed behind the cut for posterity.

Obama’s economic policies oppose both Constitutional and Biblical Law

I am not at all surprised that the liberal media is blatantly biased in their support for Obama. What shocks me is that there could be even one Obama supporter among the ranks of truly committed Christians in America. How can we be so blinded as to not see that the World View to which Obama adheres is diametrically opposed to the Biblical World View held by the founders of our great nation?

The liberal media knows about Obama’s communistic world view. This is a completely anti-American, anti-Constitutional view of the role of Federal Government, and Marxism is diametrically opposed to a Biblical World View.

Obama clearly has a commitment to see the advancement of the Marxist agenda within America. “The mainstream press steadfastly refuses to delve into Barack Obama’s radicalism, his Leftist revolutionary collaboration with self-identified communists from Frank Marshall Davis to Bill Ayers….and Mike Klonsky…. Here’s what you need to know. Klonsky is an unabashed communist whose current mission is to spread Marxist ideology in the American classroom. Obama funded him to the tune of nearly $2 million. Obama, moreover, gave Klonsky a broad platform to broadcast his ideas: a ‘social justice’ blog on the official Obama campaign website. “Andrew C. McCarthy
“Barack Obama…has offered the most rhetorically eloquent defense of collectivism since Franklin D. Roosevelt. In his biographical video at the Democratic convention, he proclaimed that in America, ‘one person’s struggle is all of our struggles….Obama’s explanation to Joe the Plumber that we need to ‘spread the wealth around’ is a sincere and significant expression of his worldview, with roots stretching back to his church and his days as a community organizer…Obama often articulates a vision of government inspired by the Biblical injunction to be our brother’s keeper.” Jonah Goldberg

These policies obviously come from deep-rooted and sincere beliefs. However, let me put this to you plainly, anyone who adheres to a Marxist World View does not and cannot uphold a Biblical World View. The Biblical, and consequently Constitutional, World View knows that the realm of authority over poverty and wealth does not fall to the civil government. Biblically, that area belongs within the realm of Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction or the corporate Body of Christ. To force benevolence, which is what Marxist redistribution of wealth ultimately does, is contrary to Biblical parameters and the First Amendment. It flies in the face of what the founders believed pertaining to our freedom to worship according to the dictates of our conscience, as Religion was defined and understood to be all of our duties owed to God, charity included.

Clearly, the threat that Obama poses to America as “One Nation under God” is simply too great for me to not speak out and sound the alarm. In the words of Joe Biden, “Mark my words, it will not be 6 months until the world tests Barak Obama .… Remember I said it … if you don’t remember anything else I said. Watch, we’re gonna have an international crisis, a generated crisis … [and] There are gonna be a lot of you who want to go, ‘Whoa, wait a minute, whoa, whoa, I don’t know about that decision.’” These are the words of Obama’s own running mate. If he sees the threat, how can we not?

Do not be fooled by Obama’s use of scripture about being our brother’s keeper to justify implementation of Communistic Ideals. After all, this would not be the first time in the history of man scripture was twisted and perverted to promote a wrong ideology. I seem to distinctly remember a time immediately after Jesus fasted for 40 days that he was presented with a similar test. His response was not to fall prey to the perversion but, rather, to respond with sound Biblical truth. Biblical truth is what we as true believers must cling to in this hour. It is what our Founding Fathers used to create our great nation and it is what will allow our nation to stand even now as it is being tested.

  1. Ok, so I was already pissed off this morning, but this just kills me.

“He has drawn in legions of new voters with powerful messages of hope and possibility and calls for shared sacrifice and social responsibility….” Does this language not disturb us as Americans?

Why in the everliving hell would I be perturbed at the thought of helping others? And furthermore, I know that the present administration refuses to take responsibility for ANY of its actions, but that is wholly unacceptable. I hope to God that DOES change with Barack Obama as president.

I cannot believe that Dunbar would dare to argue that Obama’s quotation of the biblical command to care for one another is Communistic. So the Bible is Communist? Oh, no, just those who interpret it are. That’s not a passage that can easily be misunderstood. What about Matthew 25:40-46 (“As you did to others, you did it to me [Christ])? Or Matthew 22:34-40 (“You shall love your neighbor as yourself”)?

There are myriad other examples of God and Christ demanding that we care about and take care of others. Saying that those are Communist readings is simply absurd. The Judeo-Christian faith is built on taking care of each other.

  2. Sorry to add to your poor mood. ;)

I have been aggravated by this woman for a while now, but she’s seriously pushed me well over the edge with her latest hogwash. It was bad enough when all she was on about was teaching creation “science” in Texas science classrooms, but this new stuff just truly gets far under my skin.

What I came away with from every religion that has touched my life, and most especially the Bible, was to be caring and giving and to pick up those who had fallen and needed a helping hand. How anyone can read the words of Jesus and come away from them with anything other than that is beyond me.

  3. i like this woman… Cynthia, I feel the same way she does. No, we are not extremist. We just believe in the God and the Bible and what it stands for. The world and life as we know it has been spriraling downward since the 60′s. Wish we could reserect our fore fathers so they can straighten out this mess that all you liberals have created. A smart man told me once that America will be taken over without a single shot fired, and with Mr.Osama (Obama) in the White House I am sure it will happen. I to believe that the LIBERAL media heavily influenced the election as Hilary can vouch for that. She cried about osama getting more air time than she did, media runs this country… Well, I for one don’t fall for their crap.
