Old Woman Trouble

I can’t get any of the old women in Fritztown on the phone, so I will have to assume, for the time being, they are all out getting into some kind of old woman trouble, most likely spending too much money shopping and eating. I will also assume, for the time being, that if there were some sort of major crisis going on Lin or I would have gotten a phone call from someone by now. Considering I get calls for even the most minor of problems, I think I can state it’s a fact I get phone calls when there’s a crisis, no matter how small.

Or maybe Fritztown has fallen off the face of the map today. Who knows.

I’m going to stop calling for a few hours, and when I do get my mom on the phone, I will be reminding her of the mobile nature of her cell phone and how it fits easily into her purse or pocket. There’s no point having a cell phone as a safety measure, if she isn’t going to have it on or near her person. Leaving it at home defeats the purpose of having it.

I will now attempt not to worry about my mother. It’s seriously strange when I can’t get her on one of her phones for most of a day, and she usually sends me a text message or calls to warn me she (or they) will be out for extended periods of time. So I am going to TRY not to worry, but it won’t work. I’ve been getting increasingly worried as the hours drift by.

The elderly are worse than teenagers.
