The cats have been hilarious this morning! Hissing is now down to a bare minimum, and lines appear to be drawn in the carpet. Interestingly, it’s Myu and Tora against Ronin. Girl power! Oh, they aren’t best friends (yet), but I think they have found something they can agree on: Ronin is annoying. At the moment, Tora and Myu are lying behind my chair within inches of each other keeping an eye on Ronin who is sulking by the food and water … hissing.

Earlier, Myu started acting like a household rule enforcer. Tora was chewing on one of my moccasins, and Myu came over, batted her lightly on the head, and then laid down on my shoes. Not that she hasn’t chewed on that very same pair of shoes herself or broken every household cat rule there is, of course. She even stopped Tora from chewing on a wire, and considering her penchant for wire chewing, that completely cracked me up.

I think by this weekend peace will be restored to the household. Sure, Ronin will continue to be surly, but then, he always has been. Nothing new there. He’s just being a bit more vocal about it now.

And Tora totally loves being called Tora. Comes running as soon as I call! I guess she officially has a name now, provided Lin agrees.
