Left Behind

I will be ever so thankful when I have seen the last of the racist f*cks living next door, and I hope no more racist and insane assholes move into that house.
They pulled in with a moving truck while I was out on the porch tending to my plants, and then they started having something like a little party on their front porch. I don’t mind boisterous conversation among friends after a hard day of moving household goods, but they went on and on and on about Hispanics (not the word they used). Really racist crap, and really, really loud. I could hear their commentary as plainly as if they were sitting on my porch, so I know Garden Lady (a Latina) and The Latinos (next door) who were also out in their yards tending to plants and such could hear them just as plainly. It was utterly despicable, and I almost went over there to smack them down. Luckily, I came to my senses and reminded myself they would be gone in about a month. Then they’ll be someone else’s problem an not ours … and our little street can become friendlier.
Oh, and Annoying Boy came over and annoyed me while I was checking the mail today. I asked him when they plan to round up all their cats. “Huh huh … we probably aren’t going to take all of them with us.” So, it looks like I’ll be inheriting the nastier of the cats, most notably the big, black, fluffy terrorizer of all living creatures and maybe Momma Cat. Who knows how many they’ll leave behind. Well, I’m not going to let them starve, and I bet if I work with them every day, I’ll eventually have them being happy, healthy cats … possibly living indoors. I made great progress with Momma Cat when I was working with her all the time, and while she definitely only wants to show affection her own way and when she wants to do so, she does come up to me and rub on my legs or lie beside me when I am puttering with my plants. There’s always hope, right? At the very least they’ll know where they can always find food and water.
The next few weeks are going to go so slowly waiting for them to just BE GONE! Gods, what asses. I think we’ll buy a BBQ pit and celebrate being able to enjoy our yard without annoyances.
