Almost Gone

The male adult from the Insane Neighbor family came over to chat today while I was watering my plants. He’s nice. The only thing insane about him is that he chooses to continue living with the insane woman and her insane son … and he has a bit of an aggression problem. Anyway, he came over to chat, and I found out they had two months to get moved out of the house. Seeing as they started moving this month, I guess that means they will be out at the end of next month. Yippee!

Also, they haven’t closed on the house they are planning to be moving into, so they may not even have a house to go to. I can’t imagine such lunacy, but there you have it. They sold their house before they had anywhere to go. Makes me wonder where they are moving all their crap to and when they have been moving it. He said all the big furniture and all the stuff in their garage had been moved in a moving truck, but I have seen no such thing. I guess they are doing it in the middle of the night and very quietly. Hard to imagine them doing anything quietly, but I guess they are capable of doing so.

R. also said the rest of the family is angry at L. for “losing the ancestral home, but we sold it, we didn’t lose it.” Um, dude. You guys sold that house for far, far less than it was worth, in what seemed like a rush, and if the rest of the family thinks you lost it, I’d tend to agree it was sold for so little and so quickly because it was about to be lost. Usually when someone in a family sells a home the family grew up in, they are angry because the house was “sold” not “lost” … you know?

Not long now, they’ll be gone, and then we will find out what the developer plans to do with the house before reselling it. We are sort of hoping he puts in a privacy fence, so we don’t have to do it. That would be cool. I’m looking forward to Halloween. They’ll beg gone, and Lin and I can celebrate the two anniversaries we have that day: the anniversary of our first kiss and the anniversary of the first night we spent in the house. And we’ll get to celebrate the Insane Neighbors being GONE!

What the hell am I going to talk about without the Insane Neighbors? I’m also wondering if they are going to take all their outdoor cats with them or if I will suddenly find myself with a whole bunch of cats?
