Another Long Day

I am so tired. Tomorrow, I’m calling the weekend early, though I do still have to fill the water jugs and check all the batteries in things, just in case. If Ike hits where they seem to think it’s going to hit, we might get rain. Or we might get nothing at all. I want to be prepared anyway. One never knows what a hurricane will really do once it hits land, and they don’t seem all that certain about where it will make landfall either. But, once I get that stuff done tomorrow, I am declaring it the weekend. I have had enough of this week.

I’ve got bunches of stuff to talk about, but I’m too damn tired to type. It’ll keep until tomorrow.

Time to go make dinner, so we can get the eating out of the way. Then … I will be found horizontal on the couch falling asleep to whatever Lin decides to watch tonight. In fact, I think I will go put on my pajamas right now and get comfy.

Oh, one thing I can mention now: I achieved a Domination Victory in Civ IV! I was trying to wipe everyone off the face of the planet, and I only had two more countries to go (and my weapons were may more advanced, so now doubt I would have succeeded). Alas, I successfully controlled 75% of the landmasses and had 75% of the world’s population, so I won a different way. I didn’t even know that was one of the victory options, and to be honest, I was disappointed. I guess next time, instead of installing governors and claiming the cities I overrun, I should destroy some of them to avoid controlling most of the planet. I’ll be going to war again tomorrow.

But now … food and sleep.
