Win!

I finally won a Cultural Victory in Civ IV! Yeah! I’ve also gotten the Space Race Victory†† once recently as well, and I’m pretty good at getting a Time Victory†††. Oh, and I got a Diplomatic Victory†††† once too a couple months ago. Oh how I love Civilization IV!

The other victory options I have not succeeded at yet all involve wiping out your enemies, and I suck at war. Why? It upsets me when my people aren’t happy and healthy and enjoying some culture niceties. I have gotten better at defending my country, but as far as building enough of an army and navy to attack others and wipe them out? Not so good.

Of course all of this has been done at the Settler or Chieftain levels — the lowest difficulty settings there are. There are some crazy-insane difficulty levels I don’t know that I’ll ever be ready to play.

I think I’ll go read up about war in Civ IV and start up another game on the easiest setting … and wipe people out!

My gods, this game is a serious time-sink!
