Ike

I am not liking the direction Hurricane Ike is taking. Not liking it one bit. It’s basically headed right for the Texas Gulf Coast, and then right into our laps. If it keeps gaining strength the way they expect, they say it may still be spewing 70 mph winds when it blasts into Central Texas sometime on Saturday. I am not looking forward to that at all.

Of course, Lin and the guys are on call again, in case communications get knocked out anywhere. I guess I better pack a bag and charge my camera batteries, because I’m going too.

To my friends on the coast: I think maybe getting out of town would be a good idea. It’s looking like it might be nasty. Or, it might dwindle and die. I wouldn’t bet on that happening, but I can certainly pray for that to happen.

Could we please be done with hurricane season now? Please?

  1. Not looking forward to it AT ALL! I want to say “hurry up November” but I just remembered that one year we had hurricanes up until mid December. man… :shootme: :boom: :ugone2far  :brow: :moon: :(

  2. Stay safe! It’s hard to tell right now if it’s going to get bigger or smaller. Either way, it’s going to be bringing a lot of rain and storms.

I’m keeping my fingers crossed that it wimps out and is just a regular storm … and that this hurricane season will end now. Enough already!
