So?

So, what did I do during my non-posting vacation? I didn’t do any of the things I had planned to do. None of the fun things anyway. I didn’t knit, sew, or paint. I didn’t read. I didn’t watch movies. I didn’t go anywhere and take cool photos.

I did putter in the Box Room a bit, but then I ran across the huge box of army uniforms, and working in that room stalled until I can force myself to part with at least some of the uniforms. I can’t possibly get rid of all of them. They fit me, and surely I can make them into something else I will never be able to wear in public … like skirts and shorts and sassy little halter tops. Funny thing is, I don’t even know how I came to own them.

I also watched Olympics, Olympics, and more Olympics. In fact, I totally overdosed on Olympics … and junk food.

I took long, slow, lazy naps with the cats at odd hours of the day. Who could possibly resist?!

I enjoyed the rain. Yes … rain. There were a few days of gray and wet weather, and I sat around on the porch enjoying every minute of it.

I stared at the walls and thought deep thoughts.

How well did I survive not posting to my blog multiple times a day? Well, on Wednesday I had a complete nervous breakdown and fell into a deep depression. I almost made a post. Luckily, I was also very stressed out and mentally fatigued, so I went to bed instead. By the next morning, the dark and dreary feelings had passed, and then … I didn’t miss posting at all for the rest of the week. Except for a brief period of time a couple days ago when I stopped by my web site to check for comments and my web site was completely messed up. I did, in fact, whine about that over at Livejournal while waiting to hear back from tech support. Well, I had to make note of it somewhere, didn’t I?

End result of last week’s experiment/vacation? The cats and the husband are probably hoping I don’t take another posting vacation any time soon, as I believe I drove them all completely mad, and I am rather well rested both mentally and physically. Too bad about not getting a damn thing done all week, but I did see every bit of the Olympics that was televised! I guess we’ll call it Mission Accomplished.

And now I have to go do some housework, because I didn’t do a whole lot of that last week either. Lazy, lazy, lazy!

  1. We might be up in Austin this weekend. If my week goes any worse than it has started, then I am going to be in the need of serious liquid refreshment. I’ll let you know if we head up to your neck of the woods. I have some friends who want to go to “Pete’s Dueling Piano Bar”

  2. Yeah, let me know! Wouldn’t hurt me any to get out and be social with some human beings for a change. :D
