No matter how hard I try, I cannot find the proper words to express the sheer beauty and joy of the Beijing 2008 Olympics opening ceremony. It was so beautiful, I cried.
I doubt I will ever see its match in stagecraft and performance art for the rest of my life.
And there was some panic, because it seemed like our DVR recording was messing up, so there was the added pressure that we might not even get to watch it again! Does anyone know if it will come out on DVD? We would buy it — no matter the cost.
*cries* I didn’t get to see it but my brother says it was AMAZING. I can’t find video of it, all I’ve been able to find are images – even those are beautiful. I want to see it!!!!! I’d buy the DVD too. :bawl:
I didn’t cry, but is was spellbinding, breathtaking, sensational, fantastic, marvelous, just an overwhelming spectacular display of sheer brilliance.
By the time the final torch bearer made the long “run” around the top of the stadium, I was so emotionally caught up in it all, I was almost blubbering. The whole thing was really just … wow!
