Digusted Gardening

Oleander aphids seem to only like to breed in really, really hot weather. I have no scientific basis for that thought, but I treated the cucumbers the day before the temperature dropped below 100ยบ, then I ignored them for a couple of days. No new aphids this morning. Weird.

Something is making the cherry pepper plant in the flowerbed wilt every night, even when it’s cool and the ground is wet. I suspect it is cat pee from the Insane Neighbors’ nasty cats. Grrr.

Something ate some of the cherry tomatoes that were to be picked and eaten today. Ate them right off the vine! Double grrr.

The banana peppers are going crazy! Good thing I like banana peppers.

The two large tomatoes are filling out so slowly, I can’t tell if they are doing anything or not. Also, no new tomatoes have set on either of the large plants.

I am so disgusted with my garden, I can barely make myself tend to it anymore. Maybe it’s time to cut back and thin out the plants. Since it had gotten cooler, I was going to give them one last chance to DO something, but really? I’m just disgusted with the whole project right now. Destroying some of the plants would be enjoyable. Sad, yes?
