Sundress Plan

Sundress Plan

I’ve decided on the particulars of the dress and which fabric to use. I’ve even gotten the fabric washed and ready to cut. I still need to tea-dye some eyelet trim today, and then I guess I’ll get started on the actual sewing tomorrow. It’s a gray and gloomy day, and I just don’t feel like doing much of anything today. For me deciding what to make and how to make it is always the hardest part. I imagine by tomorrow afternoon, I will be puttering around in the yard wearing a new sundress.

Though dinner is already made, so it is possible my mood on sewing something today may change. Wouldn’t bet on it though. I am feeling the urge to nap with the cats. That usually bodes poorly for getting anything done for the rest of the day.

  1. Hey Orb,

Now I have no knowledge or background in the construction of female wearing apparel. But this dress, wouldn’t it look more, not sure what you call it but that seam under the breast area, if that seam was brought down lower to the waist line. Wouldn’t that make the person wearing it look longer?

Also, update on teeth? When you are done with this procedure will you post a picture of you smiling flashing your new pearly whites?

  2. I probably shouldn’t wear things seamed right under the bust. It does make a person look shorter. But I like that cut, and since the fabric has such a busy print and the dress isn’t terribly fitted anyway, I doubt it’ll make too much difference in how short I look. I look short no matter what … being short and all. ;)

Two more appointments, and I will be posting the completion photos for my teeth. I can’t wait! Everything is going so well, and my teeth are going to look awesome! I’ve always been a big smiler anyway, but once this is all done, I’ll be smiling all the time just to show them off.
