This and That

While I am waiting for the chili to cool down to an edible temperature, how about I babble for no reason at all? OK, actually I have something to babble about. Don’t I almost always?

Mr. Stripy has two baby tomatoes! Yippee! If all the flowers currently on that plant pollinate, we are going to have a whole bunch of tomatoes. Yippee!

I did something to my left ankle. It’s the weak one that’s been injured before, so that isn’t a surprise. What is surprising is I don’t have any idea what I did. It’s not like I was especially active today. Whatever I did, it hurts like hell to walk on it. It isn’t bruised, and there doesn’t seem to be any swelling. So who knows?

Since conditions in my sinuses have change recently, I decided to try Flonase again. It has successfully stopped the constant nose drip, but it still makes the back of my throat feel yucky. Not sure I will continue with it for that reason alone. But this does give me hope that I may finally be able to find an allergy medication that will work for me. Maybe just not the nasal spray kind. When I have some spare cash, I might try the OTC Claritin. A lot of people have told me they love it.

I expected to get a little headache when the air pressure changed this afternoon as small storms rolled through. I have gotten headaches before rain storms for years. Today … no headache. Soon I will be kicking myself in the butt for not getting that stupid and easily fixed jaw/tooth root problem worked on. I’m starting to feel like I wasted so much of my life being downright miserable when I didn’t have to be. Though it isn’t like I could have always afforded it, but at least the last 7 years, I most definitely kept putting it off “until next year” when I didn’t really have to do so. Stupid, stupid Orb.

The chili should be ready to eat now. Good thing, because it has been smelling tasty for about an hour!

Speaking of chili, I cut up and cleaned that lonely jalapeƱo … the one that is supposed to be mild. I am ever so thankful I decided to touch my finger to my tongue before dumping it into the chili, because there isn’t anything at all mild about that pepper! When Lin got home from work, I was walking around with a mouthful of cold milk, tears streaming from my eyes, and snot dripping out of my nose. Oh so very attractive! And that was just me lightly touching my finger to my tongue. Lin is going to take an actual bite of it with dinner. I’ll let you know if he survives or not.
